Visa & MTN Group Join Forces in Africa

Visa and MTN group will be launching a new product , a Visa prepaid account that can be accessed through a mobile phone.MTN wants to offer his MTN Mobile money users a secure,reliable and globally interoperable electronic payment system across its market.

MTN Mobile money 5 million + users will because of the Visa technology be enabled to send funds to each other, send and receive international remittances, make purchases at merchants or online where Visa is accepted or withdraw funds at a Visa ATM.

MTN will make the new product to customers in Nigeria and Uganda during the pilot phase.
