Not My Will is a movie which depicts the perils faced by youths, especially in university environments. At the beginning of the movie, the protagonist, Nalo, is distressed by a very disturbing dream which plunges her into the hands of Simon, a ‘successful’ scammer who dazzles her with his ill-gotten riches and flashy lifestyle. Unable to resist, she is dragged into a world of ostentatious living without any knowledge of the source of these riches.

This causes her relationship with her boyfriend, Weg to undergo some strain. When she finally finds out the source of his money, she is appalled and she humiliates him publicly. Simon is infuriated and is determined to get his dignity restored at the expense of Nalo.
Not My Will is also packed with musical performances by a great variety of artists in a live musical concert featured in the movie. This movie is a must-watch for all families and all music lovers.

Ian from Tech4Africa made this annoucement:
With TECH4AFRICA two weeks away, I wanted to share latest news, and some of the things we’ve got in store for delegates, hope you’ll bear with me.

I’m really excited about listening to Leila Janah, as I think that what she’s doing is both amazing and inspirational. Leila and her work with Samasource highlights how global thinking, skills and experience can be applied to great effect in the African context, which is a key focus of the conference.

We’re delighted to announce that IS & FNB are our Foundation Partners, which underscores their commitment to African tech and innovation. It goes without saying that their vision has been instrumental for us.

We’re also really happy to announce the SeedCamp finalists for 2010, which are: Twangoo, GetaGreatBoss.com, Feeperfect, FloCash, Cobi interactive, Obami, Cognician, Thisarmy, Cred, 10Layer and iSigned. This is a great start for African tech entrepreneurs, and signals the opportunity for anyone with a great idea and a little gumption, to gain access to the early stage investor network in Europe, and in Africa. If you’re an investor, please get in touch as we’d like to help open up those channels further.

Our workshops, which are intense, day long, detail oriented sessions, are selling fast. So if you’re interested in learning from global leaders in tech, then I would strongly suggest booking now to avoid the disappointment of not being able to gain from their experience and knowledge.
Checkout more information about the workshops at: http://tech4africa.com/workshops/

We’ve also worked hard to create an awesome environment at the conference, so this is what’s in store for delegates:

1. Speakers on panels will be talking from couches, not lecterns
2. Questions are encouraged after each session
3. Our speakers will be listening in at other talks, just like all the other delegates
4. Andy budd, Joe Stump, Dustin Diaz, Jonathan Snook and John Resig, will be doing an intimate technical Q & A session, where they’ll talk about issues they’ve faced and how they’ve approached them. This is a vital session for anyone technical.
5. There will be suprises prizes under seats, and a “goody bag”
6. We’ve created ample opportunity for hallway conversations, networking, and meeting new people
7. There is an interactive expo environment including a news studio, internet cafe and an FNB coffee lounge
8. There’ll be unique badges to help start conversations and introductions
9. A deadly serious “no ties” and “no suits” policy!
10. Between all the serious stuff, there is a Cocktail party (with DJ) and an After party, where we hope you’ll join us for some fun!

Tech4Africa is featuring Clay Shirky, Leila Chirayath Janah (Samasource), Andy Budd (Clearleft), Alex Hunter, Erin Caton (Apple), Joe Stump (SimpleGeo), Jonathan Snook (Yahoo!) and Dustin Diaz (Twitter), among many other great local speakers. Clay Shirky is one of the worlds leading voices on all things Internet, and will be delivering the Keynote speech.
