African cities have been the fastest growing cities in the world;This international conference, by focusing on the (historical) identity, the contemporary position in a global context, and the future of the African city centre,will explore possibilities,frameworks and directions in which the African city center can position itself.
The many contributors including Joe Osae – Addo, Jose Forjaz, Abdumaliq Simone, Heinrich Wolff, Dick van Gameren and Nnamdi Elleh,will share their take on where we are going to be in the next decades taking in consideration all disciplines of urban design such as : landscape, housing design, building technology, conservation, architectural sociology, planning, real estate, housing management, anthropology and art.
