Agriterra Ltd to acquire, in principle, Equatorial Biofuels (Guernsey) Limited (’EBF’), the palm oil developer, from Equatorial Palm Oil Plc (’EPO’).The expected payment is approximately US$12 million, to be satisfied by a cashing out US$2.5 million and the allotment of 110,000,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company.
Agriterra, whose African startegy consists of acquiring or investing in businesses operating in the agricultural sector of Africa , sees that there is potential for early cash flow from EBF from the reactivation of a portion of the more than 169,000 hectares available in Liberia, West Africa.
